Video games are all over the place and video game technology is a driving force in numerous areas of technology including Virtual Reality and Blockchain technology. We have seen how Fortnite has dominated and really interacted with younger generations in a way that more traditional media such as film and television hasn’t . The field of game development is becoming cheaper to get involved in but there is also a lot to navigate as someone plans and creates a game development that they can actually ship and get successful from .
In this talk I will take my years of game development experience and boil them down to some core elements and takeaways that attendees can explore and get to know on their own.

In this session we will cover critical aspects to the development of a game such as the tools needed, the roles needed , core concepts for each team member to embrace and understand , the development cycle, and moe.

Attendees will walk away with a skeletal overview of how you get your game from an idea in your mind to getting it something that the masses can play . This is something that can be applicable for both those who decide to become independent game developers to those interested in working at a studio professionally.
